مایکل جوزف جکسون در 29 آگوست 1958 به عنوان هفتمین فرزند خانواده به دنیا آمد . اسم مایکل در ابتدا دونالد بود اما عقیده کاترین ( مادر مایکل ) این بود که مایکل هم صوتش قشنگتره و هم کلا اسم زیباییه.

او با دختری به نام راوی پرسلی ازدواج می کنه و در پاییز 1999 از اون جدا میشه .

مایکل از همون کودکی همراه با اهنگ می رقصید اون هم نه یه رقص معمولی بلکه یه رقص فوق العاده حرفه ای. و همین یکی از دلایلی بود که باعث شد مایکل به مرور زمان بشه خواننده و رقاص گروه Jackson5. مایکل پسر بچه ای بود که در ظاهر یه کودک نشون می داد اما مثل یک مرد بود. همه مردم بخصوص دخترا عاشق مایکل بودن و او رو دوست داشتن.

مایکل همچنین خیلی خلاق بود، او خیلی نقاشی کردن رو دوست داشت و نقاشی میکی موس و دایانا روس رو خیلی دوست داشت حتی روی دیوار اتاقش هم پر از نقاشی های جور واجور بخصوص عکس بچه ها بود.

یکی از چیزهای جالبی که مایک به بون مشهور بود ترس از پرواز یا همون بلندی بود یعنی مایکل می ترسید سوار هواپیما بشه. و خب این یه مشکل بود وقتی که تو یه ستاره هستی بخصوص که وقتی مایکل جکسونی. اما با این حال مایکل با این مشکلش کنار اومد و حتی تمام دنیا البته به جز ایران رو گشته.

او در سال 1977 با بازی در فیلم the wiz ستاره شد .

از او نیز در کارهای تبلیغاتی استفاده می شد وطی یک عمل جراحی پوست خودش را سفید کرد و در سال 1990 خواندن را به صورت کاملا حرفه ای شروع کرد .

اولین آلبوم مایکل Go To Be there بود، آهنگ Ben که برای یک فیلم با هین اسم نوشته شده بود هم در این آلبوم قرار داشت. که این فیلم در زمان خودش موفقترین فیلم در دنیا بود .

مایکل هنوز هم بزرگترین سوپر استار تو دنیاست و تا به حال هیچ کس نتونسته به رکوردهایی که مایکل به جا گذاشته برسه. که البته هیچ وقت هم نمی رسه.
